    Was this real ore is this ALT fiction because it would be great, only question would Saudi Arabia also go nuclear .

    This is where the Imperial Iranian nuclear program really stood prior to the 1979 Revolution (that's what the history tag means, but I should have made that more clear). It could be a basis for some interesting fiction, and actually was. Have you ever read the Paul Erdman book The Crash of '79?

    Have the Dutch version which is called World Disaster, found it funny that Iran had a US aircraft carrier.

    Imperial Iran actually was considering the purchase of some Invincible class aircraft carriers from the United Kingdom, as well as a fleet of Sea Harrier aircraft, but that deal fell through because the Imperial Iranian Navy would have had difficulty actually manning them.

    There's lots of interesting information on Imperial Iran's military plans, I can make another thread for that if you're interested. I already have most of the information, I just have to find and edit it.

    I once started a list on what if the Imperial Iran was still around in 1983 when my version of the Iraq-Iran war began, but my hard disk went up in smoke an i lost it, so yes it would be great for a thread.
