In the 1950s it was common for people who had suffered heart attacks to get lots of rest and take things easy while they recovered. However, after their 1955 heart attacks both President Eisenhower and Senator Johnson met with Dr. Paul Dudley White, who encouraged both of them to remain in office. What if their heart attacks had been more severe or they had not met with Dr. White and had left office instead?
