On the anniversary of Isaac Asimov's death, imagine that Kerensky's Republic had survived to become a modern democratic nation. What would the Foundation Series by celebrated Russian author Isaak Osimov look like?
I'm not sure if Asimov's family wouldn't have gone on to immigrate anyways, but that's a good question. There were many prominent figures who left Russia during or after the Civil War, including Igor Sikorsky, Ayn Rand, and Vladimir Yurkevich (the naval engineer who designed SS Normandie). Russia also had and continues to have a rather unique form of science fiction and fantasy writing. For example, Russian Cosmism was very popular in the early 1900s.
